We are looking for a talented Account Manager to join our client services team. You will manage a portion of our client portfolio and oversee project delivery.

Part salesperson, part customer-service rep, part project manager, the Account Manager role is all about doing whatever it takes to get the job done. An Account Manager closely interacts with clients to answer questions or address concerns, they are responsible for making sure our clients needs are met and their voices are heard while coordinating with our internal creative team during projects.

A good Account Manager must be client-focused in order to build trust. They must be a strong communicator to manage accounts properly. An efficient Account Manager must also be knowledgeable about our company’s products and services to provide clients with the most effective solutions. You should have solid experience in marketing and a clear idea of how digital tools add value to company strategy and performance.

In summary, the Account Manager oversees the agency-client relationship, determining clients needs—what they’re looking to achieve short-term and long-term—and ensure the agency delivers. Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to the business growth through creating and maintaining long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Client Services

  • Act as the point of contact for clients during project delivery, translating technical or creative terminology in to layman’s terms and vice versa
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships and maintain frequent contact post project delivery
  • Responding to client communications swiftly
  • Managing client expectations
  • Dealing with client concerns or complaints promptly and gently
  • Present marketing campaign ideas to clients
  • Report on campaign success
  • Identifying value-add opportunities for clients
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology and marketing trends
  • Maintaining client records in our CRM
  • Training, supporting and line-managing junior staff
  • Project Management
  • Resource planning for new projects and briefing the creative team
  • Responsible for client on-boarding and project set-up on internal systems
  • Preparation of documentation for projects (briefs, budgets, project plans, snag lists, go-live procedure)
  • Working against a set of deliverables with the need to prioritise workflows and understand lead times to hit agreed deadlines
  • Developing and delivering campaign and project progress reports to clients

New business

  • Pitching/presenting the agency to potential new clients in person and virtually
  • Preparing project costings and invoices
  • Supporting the scoping and writing of proposals for clients
  • Upselling products and services in line with client needs
  • Reporting to Directors on the status of the client portfolio

Skill Requirements

Demonstrable Experience

  • Hands on experience using CRM software
  • Managing digital projects
  • Working on engaging marketing campaigns
  • Spreadsheet, word processing and slide presentation programmes
  • Working on multiple projects with multiple deadlines at the same time
  • Understanding of online marketing tools and social media platforms
  • Building trusted relationships with colleagues, clients and suppliers
  • 2 years relevant experience within a marketing agency role

Desirable

  • Developing and writing promotional materials, press releases and other audience and channel specific communications
  • Developing digital communications and content creation
  • Developing social media messaging, content creation and delivery
  • Delivering marketing content for events, including the support of some event management and event logistics
  • Preparation of creative material for projects (image formatting, social media graphics, copy writing)
  • Marketing/Communications/Media/Public Relations or relevant degree qualification
