Our Story

Our story begins in 2009, Sarah Francis was squandering her savings in the coffee shops of Aviemore and failing to find a Marketing job in the region. Surrounded by micro businesses and community organisations in need of marketing support, she knew she had something to offer with her agency and project experience, particularly in Digital services.

The rest, as they say, is history.

2009
March 18

Relocation to the Highlands

In March 2009 Sarah Francis and her husband Joe move 563 miles North and Sarah starts job-hunting.
April 6

Yellow Cherry is born

After a few weeks failing to find a Marketing job and soaking up the unseasonably warm March weather, Sarah decides to start offering free-lance Website Design and Internet Marketing services. Yellow Cherry Digital is born.
May 1

First client

In May of 2009, Sarah developed a logo and website for Loch-an-Eilein Pottery http://www.penspots.co.uk/

Time for a refresh! After time off to look after the kids, Sarah was ready to get back to business – and first on the to-do list was a a vibrant rebrand.

Business is going well and it’s time to make the move from Sole Trader to Ltd Company
