Meet Aimee – Our Operations Manager
I’m Aimee, Operations Manager at Yellow Cherry. I joined the team in January and my role is probably best described as a little bit of everything behind the scenes!
I look after the day-to-day ops of the business, from systems and processes to supporting the team, keeping projects and workloads on track, client relationships and business development. I also get involved in marketing, reporting, awards and looking for new opportunities for Yellow Cherry, so no two days are ever quite the same.
Before joining Yellow Cherry, a big part of my previous role involved building relationships, planning events, networking and championing local businesses. I loved getting to know the people behind different businesses, making connections and finding opportunities to bring people together and that’s something I’ve definitely carried with me into my role at Yellow Cherry.
I’m very much a people person, but I’m also a big organiser and definitely a list person! I enjoy taking something that feels a little chaotic and putting a process around it, finding better ways of doing things and generally making life easier for the team (and myself!). I’m also a big believer that there’s nearly always a way to make something work – sometimes it just takes a bit of figuring out.
One of my favourite things about Yellow Cherry is the variety. I can be looking at figures and processes one minute, catching up with a client the next, working on a new business opportunity or helping shout about some of the brilliant things we’re doing. I like being busy, getting involved and learning as I go, so it suits me pretty well!
Outside of work, I love cooking and baking and I’m always trying out new recipes. also love a good cocktail (making them as well as drinking them!), watching football and getting out for walks with my dog, Nola.
I’m quite a social person, so I love spending time with my friends and family, whether that’s going out for food and drinks or just having everyone round.
I’m usually happiest when there’s good food, good company and probably a cocktail involved somewhere! Between work, friends, family, Nola and whatever else I’ve got planned, I apparently don’t sit still for very long!
So, if we haven’t met yet, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time. I’m always happy to have a chat, hear about what you’re working on or find out a little more about your business – and there’s a fairly good chance I’ll have a list on the go while we do!
