Online Safety Bill

It has been a big talking point recently and it is finally here. The UK government’s “Online Safety Bill” has now become law, which means big changes in how large firms store User information and content.

But this will also affect smaller firms like our clients.

One particular area of issue is when our clients host a forum or allow comments, then that client will be directly responsible for the content that is held there.

We would highly recommend that our clients ensure their comment filters are fully engaged, this will minimize the risk of a bad ‘actor’ posting harmful content on a client’s site.
