We’re looking for a Front End Web Developer to join our small but mighty team in our central Inverness studios. Working with businesses across the Highlands and the UK, you’ll get the opportunity to work on a wide range of website design and development projects, provide ongoing technical support and deliver ongoing Search Engine Optimisation.

Your salary will depend on your experience and if there is any training required to fill any skills gaps, so we welcome applications at all levels. We are however a Real Living Wage accredited employer.

Web Developer Responsibilities

  • Writing efficient code using best practice for software development
  • Creating websites using different languages such as HTML and CSS
  • Creating a website that matches the visual design brief and technical specification set out by the client
  • Communicating with project managers to gather and refine requirements and specifications
  • Working within agreed-upon timelines
  • Researching a variety of software programs
  • Creating and maintaining the documentation for software
  • Delivering CMS training
  • Provide telephone technical support to clients
  • Efficiently using a technical support ticketing system
  • Improving and enhancing websites after they have been created
  • Developing contingency plans in the event of websites going down

Applicants will need to be able to commute to the Inverness Studios for at least 50% of their working week to get fully immersed in Yellow Cherry culture. We will consider part time and hybrid working if required, please include your preference in your covering letter.
